Keynote Speaker: Lynn Allen

Lynn Allen will keynote the Datamat Tech Expo on Thursday, October 2 at the Mohegan SunLynn Allen, Cadalyst columnist and worldwide Autodesk Technical Evangelist, speaks to more than 30,000 users each year. For the past fifteen years she has written a monthly column in Cadalyst magazine called "Circles and Lines" and is the voice behind Cadalyst's "Tips and Tricks Tuesdays". Lynn started using AutoCAD® software with Release 1.4, over 20 years ago, and got her start by teaching at the corporate and collegiate level for 12 years. A sought-after public speaker with a unique comedic style, Lynn has served as the Autodesk University emcee for ten years and is always one of the highest rated speakers. Her latest book is entitled AutoCAD Professional Tips and Techniques.

Daniel Brown, Solutions Engineer, Autodesk Manufacturing Solutions Division

Daniel Brown works as a Solutions Engineer in the Manufacturing Solutions Division for Autodesk. In this role he serves as a technical lead for Autodesk's major accounts and provides support for Autodesk resellers.

Daniel has more than 15 years of experience in the IT and Manufacturing industries. Before joining Autodesk, he was the Engineering Manager for CompuWeigh Corporation, where he was responsible for technical sales and designing machinery for the agricultural and ethanol industries. Daniel has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Andrews University in Michigan, and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of New Haven.

Jim McCurdy, Autodesk Manufacturing Solutions Division

Jim has over 10 years of CAD industry experience. He's been with Autodesk since October, 2007 as a Territory Sales Executive, working with Datamat and other resellers in the Northeastern US. Prior to Autodesk, Jim spent about 8 years at CADD Edge, the largest SWX reseller in the Northeastern US, and about 20 months at SWX in their Inside Sales department.

Stephen Rines, Autodesk AEC Solutions Division

Michael Juros, Autodesk AEC Solutions Division

Michael joined Autodesk in 2004 and is currently an AEC Technical Specialist covering the Northeast, a registered Architect in Massachusetts and soon to be LEED AP. Prior to this role, Michael worked for Revit Technology in the Revit Quality Assurance department, where he applied his experience in Architectural design and project management experience to the specification, design and testing of the Revit BIM platform releases 7-10. Michael has practiced Architecture in Boston and Washington DC for over 12 years and is a graduate of the School of Architecture at Syracuse University. Among the projects he has worked on is the Analyn Center, a 500,000 SF, 135M Biomedical Research and Teaching Facility at The Yale University School of Medicine.

William Spier, Autodesk AEC Solutions Division

William is an MEP Engineering Technical Specialist with Autodesk. He started in the industry as a plumbing designer with a consulting engineering firm in Seattle working on a high-end, national department store chain account. Over fourteen years in the industry, he has gained experience doing power and lighting, HVAC, and architectural design as well. William has worked in several fields within the AEC industry, including O&M design work on a major pharmaceutical account for Johnson Controls, Inc., as well as plumbing and piping design coordination for a major mechanical contractor in Kansas City.
