Microsoft® Windows® XP compatibility with Autodesk® products

Issue

You want to know which Autodesk® products have been tested with the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system and which operating system they were found to be compatible with.

Solution

The following information is current as of July 8, 2003.

Autodesk tests the latest versions of its applications to verify that they are compatible with the most recent operating systems. The matrix below outlines the Windows XP compatibility and logo certification for the most recent versions of Autodesk software products. For more detailed information about all Microsoft operating systems supported by the respective products, call us at Datamat.

AutoCAD® 2004 and AutoCAD LT® 2004 have both received "Designed for Windows XP - Optimized for Enterprise" logo certification. This certification is one of the highest levels of logo certification that Microsoft offers. In addition to the requirements of the basic "Designed for Windows XP" logo program, AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT have also passed additional functionality requirements that indicate they have been optimized for use in large corporate IT environments. For additional information, refer to the Microsoft website, Technical Requirements for Software - Windows Logo Program.

Earlier versions of our products (including AutoCAD 2002 and AutoCAD LT 2002) were released prior to the release of Windows XP and are Windows XP compatible. When a product is Windows XP compatible, it means that the product has been tested in the production Windows XP environment and has passed the Autodesk test suite. Patches and fixes may be required for successful execution in the Windows XP environment, or there may be known issues specific to the Windows XP environment.
